The survey pertained to water treatment systems in the European Community: EU countries. The IDRA strongly encouraged end-users/operators to complete the survey to support ECHA decision-making. ECHA (European Chemicals Agency, an agency of the EU that implements the regulation of chemicals to protect health and the environment) is currently soliciting public consultation on the restriction of around 10,000 per- and polyfluoroalkyl substances (PFASs). More detailed information about the restriction proposal of PFAS in the EU can be located at https://www.echa.europa.eu . The IDRA Survey results have been gathered and sent to ECHA.
